Computer Security

Thief If someone were to break into your office tonight, could they easily walk off with your computers?

A stolen computer is always bad but if it contains protected health information (PHI) then it's a serious HIPPA violation.

We recommend that your computer be physically secured. Most all computers have a Kensington Security Slot that can be used to tie your computer to the wall or a piece of furniture.

To steal your computer a thief would have to tear up the computer or come prepared with a bolt cutter to cut the cable. Even at that, unless the lock could somehow be removed without damaging the computer the computer would not have any value to a common thief.

Protect yourself and your patients ... secure your computers!

Click here to get this six-foot, super-strong, steel composite cable with carbon tempered steel core that helps deter theft. The patented T-bar lock simply adds more security to the tough cable. The lock also features a built-in defense system to guard against tampering. This systems works with any computer that has a kensington security slot (which is almost all) - not just laptops.
